My Visit to The Governer

What happens to the chain of command, when there is no chain. You get hung up on multiple times a day for 3 months. No, "leave a message someone will call you back." First, put your social in so we know who is calling, then go on the website the phones are busy. So I felt I had no other choice, but to come and talk to the governer.
Apparently he's too busy to speak to single individuals, but if I had a lawyer or a tribe behind me it might be another story. I'm sure there's thousands of us that have had this experience.
Mine has to do with being flagged for fraud(April 4) and my money being held for 3 months because I had a savings account attached to my checking account with Wells Fargo.
The issue I have is, in what world is it ok to just hang up on a customer. Here come's the COVID excuse, at what point does that become a catch all for inefficiency and gross mismanagement. Perhaps it's because I've let so much messed up stuff go, including my teaching career when I should have fought back and did something. Perhaps it's turning 40, and realizing my time is getting shorter and wanting to do something for my nephew.
I don't know, I'm just tired of the bullshit and run around. I'm a very strong empath, highly intelligent, and just know when something is flat out wrong. This is one of those times. People are at their most desperate hour right now, and we can't even get a phone call back. An email response, or some form of communication.
I went to the department of economic opportunity today, hoping someone would hear me out. My mom was right when she said I couldn't do anything without an appointment. She usually is. I just don't know where to start. I guess I just want to understand what the problem is. Just saying it's Covid and that being it, isn't good enough. It's an open government where the citizens provide oversight.
I plan on going to the attorney general tomorrow to talk with her about her definition of open government. I asked for an organizational chart for the DEO at the DEO. They sent out their security officer and told me to go away. Pass the buck as they say. I went to talk to my senators, which I will be calling tomorrow first thing so we can just get that out of the way. I won't be deterred.
My friend Veronica told me I should write about it, because it was interesting. I just feel it's logical, and when something makes absolutely no sense, I can no longer sit by and accept it. I literally have high blood pressure now between the last 3 months and LPN school. It started in April when my account became locked, for the first month I just needed some quick technnical assistance. No one would answer the phone or email me back. I had to be video verified by a company called ID me which they outsourced. (This was Jume 3rd)
Why can't they outsource a call center during this difficult time, or more workers in their "fraud" department which is complete bullshit. Who doesn't have a savings account to avoid overdraft fees in this crazy "card only" time. Anyhow this company wouldn't even speak to me untill I had 2 forms of verification. One was an ID and the other one had to be a passport. I couldn't understand what people without this were supposed to do. I was ready to spend $100 on a passport I didn't have because I couldn't get ahold of anyone in the company over email or phone. I couldn't get through to the customer service, and none of my emails were returned.
(April 28) Something told me to look at Frequently asked Questions, and I saw how 3 forms of ID are able to be accepted if you only have your birth certificate, id, and social security card. So once I have the correct information to them, they finally do a video call and I get verified. They send the information over to the DEO and it says I only have to wait 24-48 hrs for the info to be approved. 2 weeks later I find a way to get ahold of a service rep through the IM service. She tells me she has no information, and her supervisor cannot help as well. She hears that it could be up to a week. (It was a month and a half) Another 2 weeks passes. It's 2 months now. I get frustrated and get on the governers and director of the DEO's twitter and ask them to intervene and do something to help. They put me in contact with a woman in the FIRRE department, that gets my information(that should already be in her system and tells me I have to wait to be called. 3 Weeks later I finally get the call I'm waiting for. The gentleman whose number and email I still don't have tells me I was flagged for fraud because of my savings account. They paid me back the money I was owed, but I don't know this won't happen again.
It feels like such a betrayal in a way. I've been such a good employee in the system. I worked in public service helping kids in schools for almost the last 20 years for the state. It feels like when I was actually on the other side and needed help because my industry had dried up from Covid as a in home therapist all of a sudden every thing is one big secret.
These people forget they work for us. It's our salaries and taxes that give them a job. I want to know what's going on. My car broke down, and the hotel was unrefundable so I took the greyhound bus.
That was no fun, but I'm pretty determined to know what's going on and have some oversight so this doesn't happen again. I didn't get any new hobbies during COVID but still haven't regained by full sense of smell. I'd say it's about 30% what it once was since I got Covid in March. I've always had an interest in law and advocacy. Here's my chance.
